Self-Healing Workshop for Health and Social Care Workers at Cornwall Council

Health and Social Care Workers have a very tough job. They run around all day trying to help others. They are giving their energy away to others constantly and the hours are very long, the resources are getting lower and lower and the staff numbers are getting smaller and smaller, which adds to the work load. It is very easy to get exhausted, run down and depleted. The Care worker looks after people, but who is looking after the care worker?

We believe the answer is that Health and Social Care Workers must allow themselves time for self-care and self-healing, and must be given the tools to be able to look after their own wellbeing as a priority. We become far more efficient at helping others if we have allowed ourselves the time to first look after ourselves.

In this workshop, we are offering self-healing techniques in the hope that they will be taken on board and integrated into daily life and we believe that if this happens, the benefits will not only be felt by the care worker, but will also be transferred through to whoever is receiving their health or social care.

All Āyā services are offered for free.
