Exercises for basic health and wellbeing maintenance
This is the start of the Journey of Meditation. The mind makes a separation between you, and an object in the mind. This is the start of duality, but through meditation, the reality of your non-dual Awareness is slowly revealed.
This exercise will propel your understanding of what meditation actually is. Our whole perceptual sphere of experience can be described as an Awareness field. The Awareness field is the mind's reconstruction of the outside world and it is filled with our sensory inputs. We can meditate on any of these sensory inputs.
Your visual sense gives you lots of potential Objects of meditation. You can meditate on anything that you focus your eyes on, whether you have your eyes open or closed.
A great way to meditate is to focus on the physical sensations in your body.
Another type of meditation is to focus on the sounds that you can hear. You can use this meditation anywhere at any time. If you can hear something, then you can meditate!
This might sound strange but as you can use any of your senses to meditate on, try using your taste buds. Obviously this can only be tried out whenever you eat or drink something!
Mindfulness meditation is a Subject - Object meditation where the Objects of meditation have become whatever is floating through your Awareness field. You can pass from object to object as they come in and out of your mind, but be careful not to be taken away with them!
Spending time in nature has its own healing qualities but you can also meditate on nature, whether you are sitting, standing, or walking. Find out how.
Do you feel like there is not enough time in the day for all this self-healing stuff? Exercise meditation is a variation on kineasthetic meditation. Meditation and physical exercise at the same time is very time efficient!
This type of meditation is centred on therapeutic activity. Why do people find peace when they get absorbed in their favourite hobby such as art or pottery, or learning a musical instrument? It is because it is a form of meditation. Learn to harness the power of this type of meditation to maximise inner peace and wellbeing.
This type of meditation is the real goal of meditation. All other types of meditation are Subject - Object meditations that are designed to lead you to this place. Once you have progressed to this, all other types of meditation can be left behind. You have reached the end of the Journey, or is it the start of another Journey?

One of the most important aspects of karma-emotion work is emotional meditation, which is an essential part of our health and wellbeing basic maintenance for the management of our emotional reactions. This forms part of the Emotional Layer of the Healing Pyramid.
1. of 4. This exercise is the most basic type of breathing exercise possible but do not misjudge its simplicity. The power of its long-term effects cannot be overstated. This forms part of the Bio-Energy layer of the Healing Pyramid.
2. of 4. Once you have mastered the Basic Yogic Breathing and the rythm has become second-nature, we can add a visualisation of cleansing Golden Energy filling your energy body. This forms part of the Bio-Energy layer of the Healing Pyramid.
3. of 4. Chakra Breathing is a slightly more advanced exercise and, therefore, you should be proficient in the two breath-work exercises above before trying it out. The reason is that this exercise needs a breathing rythm, a visualisation, and a direct focus on each chakra while differentiating between the in and out breath. This forms part of the Bio-Energy layer of the Healing Pyramid.
The Energy Cone is an exercise designed for chakras which have a strong blockage that cannot be shifted using the chakra breathing. Once the blockage has been identified, the cone will generate a much stronger chakra clearing. This forms part of the Bio-Energy layer of the Healing Pyramid.
